dc.description.abstractThe objective of this research endeavour was to investigate the impact of social entrepreneurship on traffic management and road safety. Social entrepreneurship provides a novel approach to tackling road safety and traffic management, which are both critical issues that impact communities globally. In addition to identifying innovative social entrepreneurial initiatives that have been implemented in the field of road safety and traffic management, the study seeks to identify the attributes of organizations that have made contributions to road safety and traffic management. The study aims to investigate the ways in which social entrepreneurship initiatives contribute to the enhancement of traffic management systems and road safety measures. It will specifically assess the effects, efficacy, and potential for scalability and sustainability of these initiatives. It is anticipated that this research will provide insights into how social entrepreneurship can be utilised to effectuate social change in the domains of road safety and traffic management, thereby bridging the knowledge divide regarding the potential of social entrepreneurship in these specific areas. By means of qualitative research methodologies, such as interviews and case studies, social entrepreneurial initiatives in Sri Lanka's road safety and traffic management are analysed. The research also examines the potential influence of collaborations among governments, social entrepreneurs, and other relevant parties on the social dimension of traffic management and road safety. The results of this research have the potential to provide valuable insights for social entrepreneurs, policymakers, and practitioners regarding efficacious approaches to enhance traffic management and promote road safety. The primary objective of this research is to make a scholarly contribution to the domain of social entrepreneurship through an examination of its capacity to generate social change in the crucial sectors of road safety and traffic management.en_US
