    Cryptocurrency Price Prediction: A Comparative Study using LSTM, GRU and Stacking Ensemble Algorithm for Time Series Forecasting

    Technology has significantly reshaped how humans interact with their tangible and intangible surroundings. Cryptocurrency is considered to be one of the most recent technological inventions which revolutionized how we perceive currencies and their functionality. It has become popular because of its safety, security and anonymity. However, volatility remains one of the major issues with cryptocurrencies to this day. Therefore, the primary aim of this paper is to develop LSTM (Long ShortTerm Memory), GRU (Gated Recurrent Units) and a Stacking Ensemble Learning algorithm that efficiently predicts the price of a cryptocurrency for a given period of time. The predictions are then observed and analysed to determine the comparative performance of the said algorithms.

    EasyTalk: A Translator for Sri Lankan Sign Language using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

    Sign language is used by the hearing-impaired and inarticulate community to communicate with each other. But not all Sri Lankans are aware of the sign language or verbal languages and a translation is required. The Sri Lankan Sign Language is tightly bound to the hearing-impaired and inarticulate. The paper presents EasyTalk, a sign language translator which can translate Sri Lankan Sign Language into text and audio formats as well as translate verbal language into Sri Lankan Sign Language which would benefit them to express their ideas. This is handled in four separate components. The first component, Hand Gesture Detector captures hand signs using pre-trained models. Image Classifier component classifies and translates the detected hand signs. The Text and Voice Generator component produces a text or an audio formatted output for identified hand signs. Finally, Text to Sign Converter works on converting an entered English text back into the sign language based animated images. By using these techniques, EasyTalk can detect, translate and produce relevant outputs with superior accuracy. This can result in effective and efficient communication between the community with differently-abled people and the community with normal people.

    AI - Driven Smart Bin for Waste Management

    With increasing urbanization, waste has become a major problem in the present world. Therefore, proper waste management is a must for a healthy and clean environment. Though government authorities in most countries provide various solutions for waste management, solid waste tends to make a significant impact on the environment as they do not decompose easily. This research focuses on AI (Artificial Intelligence)-driven smart waste bin that can classify the most widely available solid waste materials namely Metal, Glass, and Plastic. The smart waste bin performs the separation of waste using image processing and machine learning algorithms. The system also performs the continuous monitoring of the collected waste level by using ultrasonic sensors. A dedicated mobile application will generate the optimal routes for the available waste collectors to collect the filled bins. Moreover, with this smart bin, the challenge of recognizing each waste item is overcome by using visual data as the source. Therefore, the usage of expensive sensor devices and filtration techniques to determine the category is disregarded. The smart bin can recognize the category of solid waste, collect it to the specified container, and notify the garbage level in each container. So, it is a portable waste management system.

    The clothing industry portrays a major part of a respective country`s economy. Due to the predilection for clothing items of the people have led to the increasing of physical and online clothing stores in all around the world. Most of the people are used to go to the physical shopping and purchase their desired clothing items. But, as a consequence of the current pandemic situation, most of the people are unable to step out from their homes. This application is intended to cater an opportunity to the customers, who are not able to reach the physical clothing stores due to a pandemic situation and mobility difficulties. In addition, this application diminishes the time wastage, clothing size mismatches and the lesser user satisfaction ratio inside a physical clothing store. A customized 3D model has featured in the application to cater the virtual fitting experience to the customer. And the AI chatbot assistant in the application interacts with the user while catering virtual assistance for a better cloth selection process. In addition to that, this application has concentrated on the clothing shop by providing a future sales prediction component utilizing the K-Nearest Neighbors algorithm to provide an aid to their business commitments.

    SalFix: Solutions for Small Businesses Using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

    Every large organization was a small business before. There are many businesses starting every day. Most of them are small businesses. Managing a business is always a challenge. The owners face lots of challenges when they engage with a business. Small business owners do not have enough knowledge about advertising or promoting a product. New owners do not know the trendiest product at present, and they need to know to sell which product to be profitable. L ack o f communication with the customers will impact the customer base. These are the main problems that owners face. By introducing SalFix, these challenges can be conquered. SalFix is a web application that is suitable for current owners and new owners. SalFix uses Artificial I ntelligence t o g enerate a utomated a d i mages, predict what will happen to the business next year, predict which product is the trendiest. To improve customer communication, SalFix is embedded with a chatbot plugin that can be integrated into the small business’s website. SalFix can perform a SWOT analysis as well. Owners can use SalFix to fix t heir s ales and boost their income. SalFix is a yearly subscription service and will provide more accurate results.

    This paper represents the work of a new integrated and collaborative Smart application for managing students online through data mining techniques. Nowadays especially in this pandemic situation, there is a necessity for academic management to incorporate and change all study methods online. By considering all these conditions this research is focused to discuss the solution to manage and engage students smartly and easily. Thou technology advancements have a serious impact on the day-to-day life people face troubles when using complex applications, this implemented Smart application is simple to use and a great tool for Student Management systems. The survey feedback from students, academic staff, and the public illustrate that this project helps to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of learning capability among the targeted group. The main objective of this project is to build up a smart model using Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Artificial Intelligence to overcome generic learning problems. Therefore, this paper aims to present the concept behind the development and implementation of the Smart Study Application for Student Management System.

    JESSY: An Intelligence Travel Assistant

    Sri Lanka has a lengthy history as a tourist destination, but due to political and social forces, there have been numerous ups and downs. In Sri Lanka, the tourism industry is regarded as the third most important economic activity. As per the other countries in the world, Sri Lanka also facing the Covid19 pandemic situation, and the research team has identified several issues that need to be addressed immediately. When tourists visit Sri Lanka, some of them utilize package-based services provided by travel companies, whereas backpackers are independent budget travelers who book hotels, modes of transportation, meal plans, and destinations independently. Thus, ‘JESSY’, the intelligent travel assistant has been proposed with the intension to help independent travelers to travel around the country safely. Accordingly, the ‘JESSY’ is a collection of all the items that a traveler should carry with them every times. The main objective of the research team was to develop a mobile application which includes a leisure time planner, a trustworthy travel guide recommendation for booking, a virtual guide experience for travelers, a chatbot that offers automatic replies by analyzing and assessing data and information, utilities, resources, and safety. 'JESSY' is available for both Android and IOS operating systems.
