This research presents a smart solution to simplify the complexities associated with money management and assist individuals in managing their finances more efficiently to achieve better financial health without requiring a comprehensive knowledge of money management from the user. The proposed system automates personal finance management with minimal user effort, reducing manual data entry by tracking cash flow by utilizing SMS messages and expense bills to extract bank transaction data and cash expenditures. Each extracted expense will automatically be categorized into the correct expense category. The system also generates a custom budget plan for each user based on spending patterns to help them stay on the budget throughout the month and avoid irrational overspending. Furthermore, the system provides a mechanism to predict future expenses associated with upcoming events based on calendar events, allowing users to devise the most efficient budget plan and avoid facing financially unprepared events in the upcoming month. All these smart solutions are bundled up in the "Wonga" mobile application to help users make better financial decisions to achieve personal financial success.Publication Embargo BlossomSnap: A Single Platform for all Anthurium Planters Based on The Sri Lankan Market(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, 2022-10-15) Rathnayake, R.M.S.T; Tharika Pramodi, M.L.A.D.; Gayathree, I. R; Rashmika, L.K.R; Gamage, M; Gamage, AThe popular and extensively grown flowering plant known as the Anthurium is prized for its beauty. In Sri Lanka, anthuriums have a substantial international market. Although it is a significant field that can be further developed by expanding the market, but it has led to a lack of attention, resources, and a moderate cost of production, as well as from the absence of an appropriate market channel, all of which have led to lower productivity and quality. As a result, Anthurium growers have numerous challenges both in terms of production and marketing. This paper introduces a novel mobile application 'BlossomSnap' which involves automating and significantly enhancing the outdated manual process. Using natural language processing, machine learning, and deep learning approaches, the proposed system analyzes the diseases, pests, varieties, and the highest quality plants to create a more secure growing environment. It will provide high-quality, cost effective, and timely services. The first step of anthurium plant disease and pest diagnosis is carried out using image processing, deep learning, and machine learning technologies. In order to identify the infection stage, the following steps involve extracting, classifying, and detecting images of Anthurium flowers and leaves. The accuracy was checked by comparing actual results taken from experts with the predicted results obtained from the proposed system. 'BlossomSnap' achieves an average accuracy of more than 80% and produces a better overall result. An in-place chatbot technology is intended to assist new planters with their problems. The Anthurium plant variety and quality detection methodology is used in concert with to determine the optimum market opportunity.Publication Embargo Generating 2.5D Motion Graphics from 2D Designs(2020 2nd International Conference on Advancements in Computing (ICAC), SLIIT, 2020-12-10) Ranawake, I.; Guruge, S.; Ahamed, A.; Kasthurirathne, D.As of the year 2020 , the video production industry is worth 31 billion dollars in the United States alone, with more than 6000 businesses and 57000 employees, and keeps growing. The global computer animation market size is anticipated to reach USD 28.30 billion by 2025, according to Grand View Research, Inc. Such significant growth demands the tech industry to introduce better tools for making animations. In this paper, we propose our contribution, specifically for User Interface designers in the field of motion graphics. UI/UX design is found to be one of the top 5 most trending opportunities for motion designers, and our proposed system allows them to generate a 2.5D animation based on a 2D Futuristic User Interface (FUI) design. The ultimate goal is to reduce the production time of FUI animations and minimize the cost of responding to the client’s changes. Obtaining clients’ feedback directly on animations rather than still images would improve the client’s involvement in production, resulting in greater confidence and loyalty. We implement several image processing techniques such as thinning and pixel clustering for pre-processing the 2D designs to segment the given design into an array of atomic shapes. Since the thinned shapes ensure that any pixel in the design does not have adjacent pixels which are also adjacent to each other, it is possible to utilize mathematical means to approximate the shapes. Our system converts a given 2D design to a collection of animated lines and arcs distributed in 3D space that eventually can be exported to the industry-standard tool, Adobe After Effects.Publication Embargo Standalone Application and Chromium Browser Extension-based System for Online Examination Cheating Detection(2021 3rd International Conference on Advancements in Computing (ICAC), SLIIT, 2021-12-09) Kariyawasam, S.; Lakshan, A.; Liyanage, A.; Gimhana, K.; Piyawardana, V.; Mallawarachchi, Y.Educational organizations and institutes that provide services to the public use e-learning frequently than before. The incapacity to evaluate the knowledge acquired is a flaw in education. Due to the current situation, traditional evaluation and examinations are not possible. In a developing country like Sri Lanka, the conduct of online examinations has not been efficient, resulting in cheating at examinations due to vulnerabilities resulting from organizational policies and the difficulty to track down candidates who are prone to cheating, therefore use of facial features for candidate verification and to monitor the background interactions the use of audio and video is taken into consideration with the aid of two cameras; the system mounted camera and a wearable camera containing a microphone allowing audio detection. In this research, we suggest using the training data set generated from individuals to undertake a training approach to improve the robustness for background interactions through audio and video to detect the level of cheating of candidates.Publication Embargo Fully Automatic Hydroponic Cultivation Growth System(2021 3rd International Conference on Advancements in Computing (ICAC), SLIIT, 2021-12-09) Thalwatte, A. As a result, the user sees irrelevant advertisements, which tends to reduce user engagement and sales conversions. As Sales ,which is the expected target of any advertisement campaign, a user-based advertising approach can be considered as a solution to mitigate the negative aspects. A user-based advertisement suggesting system for television, which is extensively utilized in every other digital media, is expected to be given as the solution. For the suggestion process, user attributes such as age, gender, peer group, and the mood identified in which the advertising is shown were taken into consideration. This will result in more relevant commercials for consumers, making television advertisements more user-friendly, resulting in greater sales conversion for the advertising agency.
