This research aims to critically analyzing the ICT literacy level in grade 10 students in Nuwaraeliya district, to determine the factors that affect ICT literacy and to propose possible advancement to overcome the difficulties in ICT-based education in Sri Lanka. This is a quantitative study in which data were collected using questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using statistical methods. Based on the analysis it was discovered that the students do not have adequate ICT literacy.
