Publication Embargo Moderate Automobile Accident Claim Process Automation Using Machine Learning(IEEE, 2021-01-27) Imaam, F; Subasinghe, A; Kasthuriarachchi, H; Fernando, S; Haddela, P. S; Pemadasa, NIn modern-day, traditional automobile accident claim process struggles to keep up with the recurring automobile accidents and furthermore, the claim itself is a critical point in which the policyholder may decide to switch to a different automobile insurance provider. In this paper, the authors present a system which can be used to automate the processing of claims for automobiles which were involved in less severe accidents in a much quicker manner. The presented system comprises of four components, each with a model developed using computer vision or machine learning techniques to facilitate the automation process. The models are built and fine-tuned using transfer learning and ensemble learning techniques in order to determine the damaged component of the automobile, determine the make and model of the automobile, compute an accurate repair estimate and also compute the likeliness of the policyholder may churn, to ensure that the policyholder is satisfied with the appraised amount and will be retained by the insurance provider.Publication Open Access Annotation Based Build Process Automation for Cyber Foraging Frameworks(KDU IRC, 2016) Vekneswaran, P; Dissanayake, N. RCyber Foraging is a technique introduced to utilize the computing resources in the vicinity to improve the performance and the standby of the portable mobile devices. There have been various attempts to enable Cyber Foraging in smartphones, and they require lots of developer effort to offload the work from the applications in the mobile device, where the developers are required to do lots of code modifications or additions. We introduce an annotation based approach to automate the work offloading in a Cyber Foraging system to a greater extent, which requires minimal developer workload, through flexible technique. This can be refined in the future and be automated using machine learning algorithms, reducing developer effort furthermore.Publication Open Access Annotation based Offload Automation Approach for Cyber Foraging Frameworks(General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, 2016) Vekneswaran, P; Dissanayake, N. It will be easy if we can automate some complex, sensitive activities of day to day life. This paper discusses a smart attendance system that automatically monitors and manages the attendance of students in an educational institution. Further, this system makes automated analysis and prepares a detailed report weekly, monthly and annually. The whole system is developed with an Arduino microcontroller and RFID readers. Also, GSM and Wi-Fi communication modules are used to make convenient communication depend on the availability of the network. A microchip (microSD) is placed to store data in case of communication failure and those stored data will be uploaded bulk when the communication channel is restored. This system will reduce a lot of manual work of educators and education administrators of an education institutionPublication Embargo SentinelPlus: A Cost-Effective Cyber Security Solution for Healthcare Organizations(2021 3rd International Conference on Advancements in Computing (ICAC), SLIIT, 2021-12-09) Janith, K.; Iddagoda, R.; Gunawardena, C.; Sankalpa, K.; Abeywardena, K.Y.; Yapa, K.Electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI) has proven to be quite lucrative by cybercriminals due to their long shelf life and multiple possible avenues of monetization. These highly sensitive data has become an easy target for cyber attackers due to the poor cyber resiliency strategies exercised by Healthcare Organizations. The reasoning behind the poor cyber security management in the healthcare sector sums to the collective impact of budgetary restriction, lack of cyber security competency and talent in the domain, prioritizing convenience over security, and various work culture malpractices. Further-more, a substantial number of data breaches in the healthcare sector are known to be caused by human errors, security misconfigurations, and information mismanagement. Secondly, the increasing prevalence of ransomware and botnet attacks has hampered the efficiency and availability of healthcare services. As a result, in order to provide a holistic security mechanism, this paper presents "SentinelPlus," a machine learning-based security management suite.
