    (2018) Nadarajah, Nadarajah
While human dependence on software continues to rise at a rapid pace, the demand for software itself surpasses the human ability to produce it despite massive advancements in the software engineering discipline. The emergence of Agile methodologies: a modern version of the traditional methodologies, have proven to significantly contribute towards increased software project success rate . (2018) Kuruwitaarachchi, Nuwan
The content management system is single software or combination of interrelated programs used to build and handle digital content. The early days' static websites were able to assure customer needs. Even th ugh due to technology enhancement, change of customer requirements and buying p tterns static websites have been obsolete and unable to fulfil customer requirements Therefore, organizations needed more interactive websites to establish the business. Consequently, the requirement of a web content management system increasing e ormously. In traditional web development HTML, ASP.NET, PHP, Java scripts, etc. were used to develop websites. This needs high expertise. Consequently, the cost rises up an finding the expertise knowledge is challenging as well. Another negative aspect in tra itional web development is requirement of high development time. Further, in trad tional web development modifications require more time too. On the other hand, Web-CM,' is capable to store a massive quantity of data. Therefore, some companies have already mov d and some are trying to move to Web-CMS. Another benefit is Web-CMS does not need expertise. Besides, development takes lesser time, lesser cost and also it has a huge variety of features. Even though there are some barriers to move to Web-CMS such as Unstructured ata + High time consumption for data migration, Requirement of high effort/skill labour for data migration, Undesirability to accept changes, Fear of obsolesce, Security in CMS. ince today organizations use sensitive data such as health details, credit card details high s curity is a must. Currently in Sri Lanka using CMS has becoming popular and some organ zations are migrating to Web-CMS. Institutionalization of Knowledge Manage ent in Sri Lankan Business Entities
    (2014) Kekulawala, K R P L
The knowledge-based theory of the firm suggests that know ledge is the organizational asset that enables sustainable competitive advantage in competitive environments. The emphasis on knowledge III today's organizations, especially in the west is based on the assumption that barriers to the transfer and replication of knowledge people carry in their h ads endow it with strategic importance. Many organizations are developin information systems designed specifically to facilitate the sharing and i tegration of knowledge. Such systems are referred to as Knowledge Manage ent Systems (KMS). The benefits of KM have been empirically proven in the gl bal business realm. Because the concepts of KMS and institutionalization f knowledge formally are just beginning to appear in Sri Lankan business organ zations, little research and field data exists to guide the development and impl mentation of such systems. Knowledge, to be leveraged as a competitive advantage, has to be instilled or institutionalized in to the culture and work ethic of rganizations there is no hard evidence to show that formal institutionalize knowledge management practices or s~ems exist in Sri Lankan business rganizations. However some business entities in the country have proven the rselves to be proactive and strategic in their approach and decision making which suggests the existence of practices to make best use of what the organizat ons "know". This study provides an analysis of the current understanding f knowledge management amongst Sri Lankan businesses, the prevalent practices of knowledge use and the extent of institutionalization of KM through the study of ten high performing organizations.
