Personalized Health Monitoring System to Track and Visualize Serum Creatinine Levels of Chronic Kidney Disease Patients: Creatinine Care
(SLIIT City UNI, 2025-07-08) Fernando, N.R.T; Jayaweera, Y.D
Creatinine Care is a mobile application developed to monitor and manage serum creatinine levels in chronic kidney disease patients. Chronic kidney disease is a significant global health issue affecting both adults and children. Many patients are unaware of their kidney health status, leading to sudden spikes in creatinine levels and emergency hospitalizations. Serum creatinine is a critical biomarker used in estimating kidney function, particularly through the glomerular filtration rate formula. However, most existing kidney-related applications focus on general awareness, basic health tracking, and diet plans, without offering specific creatinine-level monitoring or paediatric support. This application addresses these gaps by offering a dedicated platform for both adult and child kidney patients to track creatinine levels over time. Key features include digital report storage, automated data extraction, visual trend analysis, checkup reminders, and personalized recommendations based on the base creatinine level. The system is developed using React Native with Expo Go for the frontend and SQLite for local storage. A Node.js Express backend supports Optical Character Recognition through Tesseract.js for extracting data from scanned reports. Evaluation involved user acceptance testing and text extraction accuracy testing. The Optical Character Recognition achieved a word-level accuracy of 93.33% on high-quality images and 76.92% on low-quality images, with an overall upload success rate above 86%. The results demonstrate the system's effectiveness in reducing manual data entry, improving patient awareness, and supporting real-time monitoring. Creatinine Care introduces a novel, allin- one digital tool for personalized chronic kidney disease management in paediatric and adult patients.

Trusty Record - Decentralized Medical Record Management System using Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence
(SLIIT City UNI, 2025-07-08) Vijayaraj, A; Worthington, A.E
Increasing demand for secure, accessible, and patient-controlled healthcare data systems has exposed the limitations of traditional centralized electronic health record (EHR) platforms. These systems often suffer from data breaches, limited interoperability, and a lack of transparency, leaving patients with minimal control over their personal medical information. This paper presents TrustyRecord, a decentralized medical record management system that leverages blockchain technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to overcome these challenges. Ethereum-based smart contracts are used to manage access control, ensuring transparency and immutability, while InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) enables tamper-proof, distributed storage of sensitive medical data. Additionally, a machine learning model trained on real-world clinical data performs predictive analysis, providing patients with early warnings of heart risk based on extracted health indicators. The system integrates Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to process unstructured medical files and convert them into structured data for analysis. TrustyRecord offers a secure, scalable, and intelligent approach to health data management, enhancing both patient empowerment and proactive healthcare delivery.

CacheBook: A Smart Personal Finance Tracker with OCR-Based Expense Logging and Visual Reporting
(SLIIT City UNI, 2025-07-08) Perera, P.T.; Vithana, V.N
“CacheBook” is a mobile application designed to simplify personal finance management by integrating real time expense tracking with automated receipt scanning. Built using React Native and Firebase, the application enables users to log daily expenses, set financial goals, and visualize spending through reports. A key innovation of “CacheBook” is the use of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, which allows users to scan physical receipts by reducing manual entry and enhancing data accuracy. The app categorizes expenses, provides visual summaries via charts, and alerts users when spending goals are exceeded.

PRODEP: Smart Social Media Procrastination and Depression Tracker
(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, 2022-11-04) Kulatilake, T.T; Liyanage, P.L.R.S.; Deemud, G.H.K.; De Silva, U.S.C; Sriyaratna, D; Kugathasan, A
Procrastination refers to the voluntary delay of urgent tasks and can have several negative consequences such as stress, health issues and academic underachievement [47]. It is viewed within physiological research as a self-regulation failure [48]. Similar to procrastination, another severe problem which comes up within lots of people including students and teenagers is "Depression". Depression is a massively widespread problem among people around the world as well as in Sri Lanka [49]. As a result of procrastination and depression, students has to face academic underachievement. One of the main cause of these widespread problems are Social media over-usage [50]. Therefore this paper presents a new tracker which presented as a mobile application with four main components. This research study is about identifying and tracking users' facial emotions and eye-aspect ratio to analyze real emotions of the user via device inbuilt webcam to identify user fatigueness and procrastination. This study also analyzes user behavior in two selected social media platforms which are Facebook and Twitter and identifies the negativity and depressiveness of "Sinhala"content using Machine learning based Sentiment analysis approaches. Also as a companion, this paper introduces a chat-bot which communicates with the user in "Singlish"language. Our final products will be a complete mobile application which generates reports to the user based on the analysis done in the four components. As future work we will introduce AutoML approaches instead of traditional machine learning based approaches.

    PharmaGo-An Online Pharmaceutical Ordering Platform
(2021 3rd International Conference on Advancements in Computing (ICAC), SLIIT, 2021-12-09) Gamage, R.G.; Bandara, N.S.; Diyamullage, D.D.; Diyamullage, K.U.; Abeywardena, K.Y.; Amarasena, N.
Pharmacy services are a paramount important pillar of health. People must keep social distance due to the COVID-19 pandemic, hence the availability of online services to give medicine is vital. Due to the quarantine measures implemented in and by various countries to prevent the virus’s breaking out and online pharmacies have become an exceptionally popular way to obtain accurate medication. Currently, in Sri Lanka, there are a few mobile applications separately owned by each of the pharmacies to provide online pharmaceutical services for their customers. But all the medicines the customer needs might not be available in a single pharmacy. PharmaGo provides with its cooperation to the customers to get medicines of his necessity at a single pharmacy, as against avoiding him roaming from pharmacy to pharmacy. Similarly, pharmacy owners can read the prescription by using image processing mechanisms and doubtlessly identify the required medicines. In addition, the system analyzes previous sales records and provides predictions regarding the future demand for drugs to the pharmacy owners. PharmaGo includes a highly trained AI-powered medical chatbot to guide the customers throughout the process. PharmaGo provides a reliable platform for both pharmacy users and pharmacists to fulfill the unique needs of pharmacy services.
